I opened a separate bug concerning LC AAC (#498617). I examined the case
futher, using file command and MIME types reported by nautilus:
gstreamer-created aac: video/mp4; ISO Media, MPEG v4 system, version 1
faac-created aac: video/mp4; ISO Media, MPEG v4 system, version 2
iTunes-created aac: audio/mp4; ISO Media, MPEG v4 system, iTunes AAC-LC
