           Version: 0.10.21
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gst-plugins-base
        AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net

         QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
     GNOME version: 2.23/2.24
   GNOME milestone: Unspecified

Please describe the problem:
I have problem for listening low quality WAV files (8bit mono 16000Hz). In
Rhythmbox, it just pass to next file. This appends in Intrepid Ibex, and I
tried on 4 different computers. Previous versions of Ubuntu was able to play
the files. I can open files with VLC, Mplayer, aplay but not with Rhythmbox or
Totem, and no totem-preview-audio sound.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open a WAV RIFF 8bit mono 16000Hz with Rhythmbox or Totem
2.
3.

Actual results:
Players just skip to the next file and does not play

Expected results:
Hear the sound of the wav file

Does this happen every time?
Yes
