I have verified that your patch fixes the issue.

The warnings are happening because I'm running configure with the

  --disable-nls

option.  The gst-libs/gst/gettext.h (there's a newer version of that header,
BTW)
code is redefining gettext, dcgettext, etc.  It's really a problem with the
gettext.h header and the order stuff gets included in, but it only shows up
when you configure with --disable.nls.
