It's just a (very) bad error message that does not show the real problem.

The real problem is almost certainly a sound setup or configuration issue. Go
to System => Preferences => Sound and try different options. You probably want
to pulseaudio output.

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but
we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be
solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software
upgrade.
