hmm, for me this works just fine.

gst-launch-0.10 playbin2 uri=file://$PWD/Depeche_Mode_-_Everything_Counts.mid 
playbin2 uri=file://$PWD/Depeche_Mode_-_Enjoy_the_Silence.mid

same for playbin.
