GStreamer | gst-plugins-ugly | Ver: 0.10.9
Summary: mp3 playback stutters on certain mpeg files
Product: GStreamer
Version: 0.10.9
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-plugins-ugly
AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: notting at redhat.com
QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
GNOME version: 2.23/2.24
GNOME milestone: Unspecified
Please describe the problem:
Given the MP3 audio file at
http://www.nowlive.com/podcast/OpenPodcast.ashx?PodcastID=177483 playback
stutters badly when played through a gstreamer app, such as totem or rhythmbox.
madplay and mplayer both play the file OK.
While I'm outputting through PulseAudio, it doesn't happen for all mp3 files,
and ogg playback is OK - therefore assuming it's not a gst-plugins-pulse file.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Download mentioned mp3 file
2. Attempt to play in totem
Actual results:
Playback stutters badly.
Expected results:
Plays normally.
Does this happen every time?
Yes.
