[gstreamer-bugs] No URI handler implemented for "appsrc"

Hi, I am trying to get the following sample code to run on linux.

http://gst-plugins-bad0.10.sourcearchive.com/documentation/0.10.8/appsrc-seekable_8c-source.html

I can compile fine but get the following errors when trying to run the 
program:

Aborted

I have tried linking the above code to both Gstreamer versions 0.10.20 
and 0.10.25 but with the same results.

I have been able to run the program on windows without problem.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
