Stefan,

Could you try to apply the patch and then 
put GL_UNSIGNED_SHORT_5_6_5 instead of GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE
just after using GL_DEPTH_COMPONENT16 (3 times, see the patch) in glTexImage2D.

If you still have an error, is it at the same place and is it also
"GL_FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_DIMENSIONS" ?
