dumb me was running the second pipeline and thus replacing the image. I was
expecting the brower to load the file after it has been selected.

Good catch, by using
OIL_CPU_FLAGS=0 it works. I've also tried the latest liboil from git and bug is
still there. Will file a upstream bug in a sec.
