This looks like a packaging bug that should be reported in the debian bug
tracker.

It works fine for me with the internal ffmpeg snapshot in git (well, the
decoder part anyway).

However, there's currently a buffering issue in git when doing

 gst-launch-0.10 playbin2 uri=http://abstrakraft.org/Burden1.mov

but that's a differenet issue.
