I've decided on a new naming scheme.  For volume,

  ORC_SOURCE=gstvolumeorc

  gstvolumeorc.orc   Original .orc source file
  gstvolumeorc.h     Generated header
  tmp-orc.c          Generated source
  gstvolumeorc-dist.[ch]  Disted source/header files
