This patch would cause a pipeline like this one to fail when it starts playing
instead of failing when it links making it harder to debug:

audiotestsrc ! capsfilter caps="audio/x-raw-float, rate=1000" ! audiorate !
capsfilter caps="audio/x-raw-int, rate=2000" ! fakesink
