after many days of debugging we're able to create a test pipeline which use
only standard gstreamer elements and rapidly eat memory (in 20 minutes 6MB of
ram): 

gst-launch videotestsrc pattern=18 !
video/x-raw-yuv,width=720,height=576,framerate=25/1 ! x264enc pass=0 !
h264parse access-unit=true ! queue ! matroskamux ! filesink
location=channel0.mkv
