I understand the reasoning behind the move to cluttervideosink.  However, the
move to inexpensive x86 based PC's with small form factors and low power CPUs
like the Intel Atom places more emphasis on the performance of the hardware
assist provided by the embedded GPU.  If only the GPU vendors could standardize
on a well defined API.
