One other thing that might be good to fix is this:

in GLib master the GStaticRecMutex API is deprecated, and we expose a
GStaticRecMutex stream_lock in the public GstAudioDecoder/Encoder headers,
including lock/unlock macros. These don't seem to be used anywhere though, so I
wonder if we should just make those private ?
