[Bug 654254] Since renaming the qtdemux plugin to isomp4, gstreamer does not play mp4 files.

When I re-installed the newer version of the gstreamer-plugins-good package, it
started working! So, probably, this isn't a bug. Thanks for the help and sorry
for the trouble.
