Ah, that's very interesting. I notice I used mpeg2dec instead of $DECODER in
the third pipeline. If you try this third pipeline again, with ffdec_mpeg2video
instead of mpeg2dec, does it now play slow too ?

If so, while not yet a fix, you can probably workaround your problem by
removing libgstffmpeg.* from /usr/lib/gstreamer0.10 (or ~/lib/gstreamer0.10).
