As far as I know, segment seeks are supposed to emit a GST_MESSAGE_SEGMENT_DONE
message, as opposed to normal (non segment) seeks. Maybe also sending
about-to-finish might be easier to use though, when mixing seek types.

The video should not play to the end though. It's not clear whether you're
saying it does, or does not, due to the negative in the first part of the
sentence.
