The port to GES uses pbutils.discoverer. "ges-launch" is not used in
applications such as pitivi.

Technically, individual applications like pitivi could do the thumbnailing
themselves... but really, I think the discoverer might as well do it (it's kind
of the point of its existence: doing less work in applications downstream).
