I can't reproduce this with 1.0.1 as on debian sid either, btw.

Could you (a) install -dbg packages for gstreamer and plugins, and (b) make
another valgrind log please, this time over 60 seconds perhaps.

Also, how do you stop it? Do you properly shut down the pipeline in the end or
just control-C ?
