A Pleasure!

1.) yes, that works perfectly.

2.) I run ./configure, make, make check and checkinstall inside the top-level
of the extracted source-ball.

3.) sorry to tell you that the only thing written in dbg.log seems to be:
bash: elements/ac3parse.check-norepeat: No such file or directory

I don't know what went wrong.

(Finally I could install the five source tarballs without further errors, but
I'm not quite sure what to do with them, since my Subtitle Editor and many
other applications ie. of XFCE is linked to the 0.10-Version)
