@slomo:

Is there any problem to commit the proposed patch?

Another question regarding the format negotiation issue:
Is it possible to negotiate an output buffer format as ENCODED between decoder
and sink, and keep it as ENCODED itself throughout the lifetime of the
pipeline.?

Use case: Suppose the the decoded buffer is encrypted and we don't know about
the type/format of the raw data with in the buffer.Only dedicated sink can do
rendering in this case. Which means that we have to restrict the encrypted_mem
to systeam_mem mapping since it is not possible to do it with out knowing the
output format.
