Hi Sebastian,

you are correct. It seems that id3v2 is not giving the noise at the end of the
file.
I was not sure if it was just the id3v1 or also the tag that is called "LIST"
(which I am not sure what it is exactly) is giving this noise.

Is there anything that can be done to prevent this noise? From what I
understand from the issue, is that this meta information is being stored
outside of the part of the file that contains the actual sound, so it should
actually never be an issue in that sense that this is audible, right?
