I hope so.  You have, unfortunately, been dealing with it for about two years
you say.  You are a gluten for punishment.  :-)  I have been using Pulse Audio
and the GStreamer pulsesrc and pulsesink plugins (with no problem like this by
the way) for the past year and forgot all about the alsasink problems I had
experienced in the past.
