If you run gst-inspect-1.0 directly on one of the plugin files (libgst*.so in
lib/gstreamer-1.0), what does happen? Also can you provide the output if you
set GST_DEBUG=6?

Most of the time this happens because of libraries not being found, e.g.
because you installed GStreamer into a non-default path and didn't put it into
LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
