In the port to 1.0, this was removed completely:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-python/tree/plugin/gstpythonplugin.c?h=0.10

Needs to be ported from 0.10 to 1.0 and from PyGTK to PyGObject
(introspection).
