In this "working" scenario, audioconvert will convert from 6 channels to 1
channels, and pass that to waveenc. This does not seem optimal, but wavenc only
support 1 or 2 channels. Note that playing a 6 channel audio stream as if it
was 2 channels will sound like noise, and nothing else.

So the problem is in gst-omx, or patches you have applied to it.
