The interlaced mode mixed does not actually exist in V4L2. The V4L2 decoder
should fail upstream if upstream caps are using this mode. Right now it fails
late hence fail the pipeline instead of letting decodebin pick a decoder that
supports that. This ca be reproduce using gst-validate:
