Not clear to me that this is a bug in GStreamer (other than ximagesrc
performance being poor perfhaps).

Have you tried making the audio queue after pulsesrc unlimited, e.g. queue
max-size-bytes=0 max-size-buffers=0 max-size-time=0 ?
