[Bug 752778] playbin-complex:make check failed during unit test

I updated autoconf automake & libtool, and i was able to install gstreamer
1.5.2.1 in the following directory /home/karthik/gstreamer_build/

when I tried to run ./autogen.sh --prefix=/home/karthik/gstreamer_build/ I got
the below error message.

configure: Requested 'gstreamer-1.0 >= 1.5.2.1' but version of GStreamer is
1.2.1
configure: error: no gstreamer-1.0 >= 1.5.2.1 (GStreamer) found
configure failed
