Hi Nicolas,

Thanks for your comments.  The reason we use an unsupported version is related
to application specific requirements.

One reason for filing this case was to reach out to the community to see
whether someone has seen this problem before...  and can perhaps point in right
direction.  

If anyone can recall a duplicate bug number or even a patch...  this would help
tremendously.
