Please create a bug in bugzilla.gnome.org and attach the patch
to that.  Also note that a lot of things wrt building on Windows
has changed since 0.8.1 -- specifically, a tree disted from the
current CVS builds[1] with gcc on Windows.  So it might be a good
idea to port the patch to current CVS before attaching to the bug.

[1] builds == builds, but requires copying some generated files
    since they don't autogenerate correctly on Windows.
