That's fairly simple, and that's the output of a52/faad/dts as well, probably for this exact reason. ;). I guess we can go for the first then (unless Dave has strong objections), since it's simply easier. Would we ever get into practical troubles, we can switch in 0.10.x.

Anyone want to do audioconvert? :).
