Sounds sane. There is more information to be had from LADSPA plugins,
though (is it a distortion plugin, an analysis plugin, a delay plugin,
etc). This information ("Delay" or what-not) can be had from liblrdf, a
RDF-parsing library for LADSPA. You can probably find that at
http://plugin.org.uk/.
