Hi gang,

I'm going to postpone the release until tomorrow because I'm running out
of time today.

There are three patches to opt that people would like me to put in.

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147894 is marked as a
blocker.  I'd tend to agree - without it the player locks up, with it it
plays back everything except MPEG, which is a known
thread/spideridentity issue.  This is the patch for which I would
postpone the release and do another prerelease.

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147819 is a patch that Andy
would like in, and that Ronald claims fixes a segfault in RhythmBox with
opt.  I cannot reproduce said segfault, and Ronald cannot either
anymore.  Don't know what to do with this - can someone try with
Rhythmbox and let me know ?

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142813 is an easily veriable
patch fixing a deadlock.  I personally feel it can wait, but if we're
going to put in these two patches, and since we're delaying with one day
anyway, this might as well go in too.

So, here's my take on it:
- if none of these patches go in, I do a 0.8.4 first thing tomorrow
morning.  In fact, the tarballs are already spinning idly on my hard
disk.

- if any of these patches should go in, I do another prerelease first
thing, expect people to be there when they wake up to test (that goes
for Andy for soundscrape, Ronald for RhythmBox, and Zaheer because he
offered to test), so that I can have a final go from these people for a
release around 19:00 CET.
