[gst-devel] gst-ffmpeg's reworking

OK,

So I took out some time to reorganize gst-ffmpeg in a way that
a) makes it super-easy to build for our users who just check it out from
cvs
b) makes it very easy to update patches for our crazy developers who try
to fix ffmpeg itself
c) makes it slightly harder, but doable, to add new patches, and
maintain proper quilt state.

If you're interested to try it out, check out gst-ffmpeg.new and run
autogen.sh on it.
If it complains about sdl or imlib stuff, make sure you copy the right
.m4 files to the right directory (ronald, do we even *need* sdl or imlib
support ? if not, I'll impose another patch on top that removes this).

Ronald, I'll discuss some details about the setup with you, then write a
small document explaining how to do stuff now while my mind is fresh.
But first, check out the module and try to build it, and see how it
goes.

Did I mention it even passes make distcheck without problems ?
