[gst-devel] Dynamically changing source/sink elements

Folks,

Is it possible for Gstreamer to handle a scenario where an application dynamically changes a source element without losing its place in the rendered stream. (e.g reading from file src element A for n frames and then switching to filesrc element B for the next n frames) From a plugin perspective can I use gst_pad_link() gst_pad_unlink() to effectively achieve this. 

Is the same scenario possible for the sink elements?
