Students get 500$ after project acceptance, 2000 after an initial review
after a month of work, and 2000$ on project completion (or "not
completed but lots of work done, we're happy", to be decided by the
mentoring organisation).
For every completed project, the mentoring organisation gets 500$ too.

So no, not all 5000$ goes to the student. Its 4500+500.
