Stefan,

Not intentional.  I will fix that.  This is just an initial code dump
and it works, I will commit osxaudiosrc and then get it complying to
the conditions for plugins being in good/ugly and then get it reviewed
before enabling it in configure.ac and the necessary Makefile.am.  You
fancy reviewing it when its done?
