[gst-devel] FW: gst_element_set_state hangs => blocked in state change @ gst_pad_pause_task ?

Looks like the source of the problem is gst_pad_pause_task in my state
change function.
Any suggestions to prevent this problem

My Gst Application before modifying the pipeline content invokes pause
and play using gst_element_set_state
in a thread context different from g_mainloop thread.
 
On some occasions I see that the gst_element_set_state does not return
and hangs.
 
However by looking into the source I cannot see any obvious reason for
this behaviour.
 
Could you please suggest an alternative asynchronous way to pause and
play pipeline ?
