I have not myself used the patches I was talking about, since they were
only needed for kernel version 2.6.17 and above. I don't think they had
anything to do with SAA7134 though.

I don't have a PCI card, I have a Plextor USB device, so I cannot help
with any particular PCI-specific problem.

But you said you had build problems, please post the build log.
