[gst-devel] Using Mixer Interface

hi all,
I am having difficulties figuring out how to use the GstMixer interface

Heres my apllication pipeline
       filesrc location="file.mp3" ! decodebin ! audioconvert ! queue !
alsasink

now i want to make use of the GstMixer Interface so that im able to work
with hardware volume control.
i have no idea at all on doing this. (went through the developers manual as
well as the gstreamer API docs )

could somebody please help me out on this, or at least point me to the
relevant resources.
