[gst-devel] encoder implementation

Hi,
I am going to implement an encoder element.
I am not sure if I should use the basetransform as a template.
Since the encoder itself produces varying data sizes, I see some 
problems in using the
get_unit_size callback.

Maybe the best way here is to use GstElement directly?
