Emulating behavior of gst-launch -e in gst program

Hmmm, the example from gst-launch has it's own event loop, I see.  It'd take
such a look to use a variable that gets checked to see if I need to do the
eos.  Perhaps a pointer to how best to implement eventloops for gst without
using the built in one would also be interesting.
