gst-launch usage

Hello,

I am using gst-launch tool to capture and store the video from a camera, &
able to that successfully.
But failed to change the sink & source pad capabilities of a element.
Please help me to know the proper
method/syntax to change the sink & source pad capabilities of a element
using the gst-launch tool.
