Record audio from aux (3,5" audio) input for 10 sec every 5 mins

On a Linux system you have a choice of alsasrc, pulsesrc or jackaudiosrc 
(possibly others) - it depends on how you want to control the audio 
input.  Check in the documentation of all the plugins to read about them.
