Good to see some more OpenMax
development has started with gStreamer. We guys at NextBiT have been
doing some work on the same as well. Currently, We
are looking out for test hardware to check some of the
Compliance and acceleration features we have been working on. Would
love to understand how this TI initiative shapes up.

Thomas,

It's good to hear you are interested. We will
now start the internal
process needed to contribute the code. There are
many things that are yet
to be decided. However, we wanted to hear the
GStreamer community's opinion
early in the process.

Our intention to
contribute to the community is strong. You can be sure that we are
making
our best effort to begin contributing swiftly. We'll keep you posted
on our
progress. We intend to use LGPL licensing but we still need to
consult with
our legal department.

Hopefully we will be able to send you a tarball
soon so you can check it
out.

Meanwhile we are looking forward to
hearing more comments.

Best regards,

--
Diego

all,
>
> We would like to announce that our team, the Linux Apps

news ! We look forward to seeing this happen.

> We've developed

way to
> do
> so. We would like to hear your opinions about how
should we should
> carry on with
> this contribution.

I
guess the simplest place to start is with the actual source. Is
there
a source tarball we can take a look at and test ? What license is
the
code under ?

We could set up the source in our repository if you
think that makes
sense, or we can help you set up a separate home for them
somewhere if
that makes more
sense.

Thomas

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take
