Yep... that's probably what we're going to do. We need an alarm to let the application know there's something wrong with the video stream. Simple as that, but apparently not available.<br><br>Thanks for your help!<br>

</div>It should be quite simple to write an element that diffs (using some<br>
metric) one frame against a past frame and emit an event if that is<br>
the case. I don't know of such an element personally, but my<br>
familiarity with the available elements isn't so good.<br>
