<div dir="ltr"><div><div>Hi Gstreamer Team,<br><br></div><div>I would like to contribute to gstreamer. I went through the tasks list and would like to work on webp support. In <a href="http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/wiki/SocProjects">http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/wiki/SocProjects</a> it is mentioned that "create a encoder and decoder for WebP image format" does this mean a decoder and encoder has to be written from scratch or write a plugin which uses libwebp library?<br>
<br>I would like to implement webp image plugin which uses libwebp to decode and encode image. I am not much aware of gstreamer code but I am ready to learn it. I can write C, C++ code and understand math so I think I will be able to accomplish webp plugin support after reading documentation / plugin tutorial and with help from the gstreamer community.<br>
<br></div><div>Is it feasible? Has anyone already started working on this?<br></div><div><br>About me:<br>I am PrasannaKumar, finished my Bachelor in Electronics and communication engineering, currently a software engineer and a M.Sc Math student.<br>
