For what it's worth, this dependency only exists for the
serialisation/deserialisation API that no one really uses (not least
because we don't recommend that) and which only works partially anyway.

On many embedded systems GStreamer will likely be built with
--disable-loadsave and hence without the libxml2 dependency.
